The Opportunity

Working within the Cyber Sustainment Section, you will play an important role in supporting application control capabilities that underpin secure and reliable ICT operations. You will gain exposure to cyber security operations, threat hunting activities, vulnerability management and Essential Eight compliance initiatives while working alongside experienced technical specialists.
The Role
As the Application Control Support Officer, you will provide operational and technical support across application control technologies and cyber security workstreams. You will assist with maintaining platform stability, investigating security events, supporting application deployments and ensuring compliance with security standards and established operating procedures. Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to daily operational outcomes while identifying risks, escalating complex issues and supporting continuous improvement activities.
Responsibilities
The Ideal Person
You have APS4/5 experience or 2–5 years' experience in ICT incident management, application support, or cyber security within government or large enterprise environments. You are a proactive, detail‐oriented professional who enjoys solving problems, working collaboratively, and supporting secure and reliable ICT services. You have experience supporting enterprise technology environments and are comfortable following structured processes while managing competing priorities.
