Job Overview
The Asset Strategy Engineer plays a pivotal role in spearheading the development of Asset Class Strategies, Asset Design Manuals, Maintenance Strategies, and Functional Requirements.
Key responsibilities include providing expertise in these areas, ensuring alignment with regulatory performance obligations and network operation requirements. Additionally, this role requires effective stakeholder engagement skills to influence and negotiate outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
* Review capability and authority for deviations from existing standards and adoption of new practices related to detailed design, plant selection, and acceptance.
* Manage existing and emerging risks associated with construction, commissioning, installation, testing, and operation.
* Support the Asset Investment function by assisting the delivery team from planning through to handover as the owner customer.
Technical Leadership
Provide technical leadership for substation services and infrastructure, applying deep technical expertise within the specialist area.
Qualifications
* A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with eligibility for membership with Engineers Australia.
* Experience in the energy industry (transmission, distribution, or generation).
* Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to influence and negotiate outcomes.
