Career Medical Officers (PGY3+) – Urgent Care and Inpatient Services

Full time or part time, up to 38 hours a week

We are seeking experienced, passionate Medical Officers of various seniorities to join our team. Reporting to the Clinical Director of Medical Services (DMS) this role is responsible for providing effective day to day clinical management of both ambulatory and admitted patients/resident/clients within Colac Area Health whilst fulfilling Medical Board of Australia registration requirements.

You will be responsible for the day to day operations, ensuring high quality care is provided to patients and their families within applicable financial frameworks, budgetary constraints, quality standards and legislative requirements. This role is supported by an established nursing team which has created a positive and supportive environment.

As a Career Medical Officer, your role will cover both the Wards and Urgent care Centre, participating in daily ward rounds and working closely with Supervising GP's and Hospital Medical Officers. You will also be responsible for ensuring discharge summaries and other documentation are completed, allowing for timely discharge.

As our ideal candidate you will have at least:

* Bachelor Medicine, Bachelor Surgery equivalent of Australian/New Zealand Graduate or fully qualified AMC graduate.
* Demonstrated relevant experience (minimum 3 years) as a Medical Officer in the hospital setting, with some (minimum of 1 year) in the Australian Healthcare system.
* General registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA), with no restrictions.
* Rights to work in Australia
