Volunteer Opportunity
We are seeking volunteers to assist individuals with disabilities through horse riding activities that promote physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities:
* Preparing horses for sessions by grooming, tacking, and ensuring their safety.
* Leading horses during sessions while maintaining a safe and controlled environment.
* Supporting participants with diverse abilities, providing guidance, and adapting to their needs.
Requirements:
* Clearances such as police checks and working with children checks.
* Some experience with horses is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Commitment:
A regular commitment on Thursdays and Saturdays is required, with flexible scheduling to accommodate individual circumstances.
Training:
Comprehensive training will be provided to all volunteers, including equine handling, safety procedures, and participant support techniques.
