We have an excellent opportunity for an Accountant to join our Business Advisory team. This is a permanent position based in either our Smithton, Burnie or Devonport office. We are open to accepting part-time and full-time working arrangements based on your preference.
Your role, your contribution
* Prepare financial statements, reconciliations and tax returns for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses
* Liaising with various providers and statutory authorities on behalf of clients
* For more senior candidates: Delegate and review work of junior team members, providing coaching and support to ensure correct accounting and taxation standards are applied
* Assisting senior management with monthly management reports for clients

What you will bring to the role
* You have an interest OR prior experience working in the Public Practice sector.
* A relevant degree or diploma is desirable, or studying to achieve same, but not mandatory.
* A CA or CPA qualification is an advantage, but not mandatory.
* Prior experience with the Microsoft suite of applications, cloud accounting products (i.e. Xero, MYOB) or the Active by Business Fitness Software is an advantage, but not mandatory.
