Job Title: Cloud Consultant
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Consultant to join our Asset Lifecycle Intelligence division. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our cloud application suite.
You will be responsible for building and engineering cloud infrastructure, including maintaining virtual servers, cloud infrastructure automation and monitoring services, and supporting our public cloud solutions. Additionally, you will work on deploying and configuring software suites, both developed by our business and third-party vendors, as well as providing monitoring and observability for alerts in our internal and customer environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Implementation, monitoring, and day-to-day management of a highly available cloud infrastructure.
* Public cloud architecture and engineering responsibilities.
* Configure infrastructure and applications for high performance and highly available operations to meet business needs.
* Selecting IT solutions based on individual departmental needs.
* Coordinating IT projects and investments.
* Development of existing software.
* Analyzing logs, network load parameters, tracking information about errors in software used, and installing provided patches.
* Network service management: DNS, WINS, DHCP.
* Web, FTP, Email Management.
* Network Security
o Assigning access rights to network components (creating domains, workgroups, access to remote files, printers, etc.)
o Experience with Firewalls (WAF)
o Use of identification and authentication of workstations and users
o Selection of cryptographic methods that guarantee the resilience of transmitted or stored messages
* Optimizing network performance.
* IP address assignment, subnet masks, gateway definition.
* Defining routings.
* Deciding on network protocols.
* Shaping the policy of naming network elements.
* Supplier and Service contact.
* Undertaking ongoing training to update relevant public cloud skills and knowledge.
* Translating technical requirements into business requirements.
Requirements
* Strong Application and Networking experience.
* Previous experience working in Oracle Cloud environments.
* Experience of deployment, configuring, and monitoring virtual servers.
* Knowledge of Microsoft server infrastructure; Microsoft Windows Server: 2016, 2019, 2022, including Active Directory/DNS and Group Policy.
* Experience with server infrastructure, platform sizing, and tuning running on Oracle Cloud.
* Experience with the following infrastructure: Compute, Networking, Storage.
* Strong technical background in cloud implementation.
* Experience with application pipelines in the CI/CD process.
* Experience with IT Automation/configuration Tools such as Terraform, Puppet, and PowerShell.
* Experience with Infrastructure-Based Processes: Monitoring, Capacity Planning, Facilities Management, Performance Tuning, Asset Management, Disaster Recovery, Data Center support.
* Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
* Oracle Cloud certifications preferred, but not essential.
* Candidates to provide tangible evidence in these areas from past endeavors.
