KITCHEN ASSISTANT

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team at Oolong Hostel in our Riverina Murray Region. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties.

We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility.

What you will bring to the role:

4. Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
5. Experience in table service and clearing duties
6. Experience in working in a fast-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
7. Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
8. Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
9. Experience in Aged Care desirable
10. Current First Aid Certificate desirable
11. Excellent communication skills
12. Team player who is highly motivated
13. Availability to work various shifts across various days

Pre-employment screening

The successful candidate is required to have completed/have a willingness to undertake the following:

23. Vaccinated in accordance with UPA's Immunisation and Vaccination Policy. (including proof of the required doses of a TGA approved COVID-19 vaccine and annual influenza)
24. Undertake a National Criminal History Check
25. Pre-Employment Medical Assessment
