As a member of the Catering team at Holy Spirit Croydon, you will be preparing meals and assisting with meal service to our residents. This role includes overseeing the effective meal service to our aged care residents, as well as providing best practice service in kitchen cleanliness, documentation and food preparation.
About the Role:
5. Assisting with preparing fresh and nutritious meals for residents in line with their dietary needs
6. Assisting with managing resources within the kitchen including equipment and food supplies within your approved budget
7. Maintaining a hygienically clean kitchen that is fully compliant with the Aged Care quality standards
To be successful in this role you'll need
8. A kind heart and genuine passion for providing high quality care to the elderly
9. Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people
10. Good communication skills
11. A reliable team player
12. Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) preferred
13. Basic Food safety Practices Certificate
14. Good understanding of food safety practices, kitchen cleanliness and hygiene
15. Understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) preferred
16. To be able to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision
17. Able to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and their families
18. NDIS and Police check clearance or willing to obtain
