* Spinifex Health Service is seeking an experienced Health Services Manager to lead the non-clinical operations, workforce coordination, and governance support of our health service.

* Spinifex Health Service (SHS) is an Aboriginal Community-Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) that provides a wide range of culturally appropriate health and wellbeing services, including clinical, maternal health, child health, mental health, and specialist services, plus the Home and Community Care centre.
* Located 660 kilometres north-east of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, SHS operates under the direction of the Paupiyala Tjarutja Aboriginal Corporation (PTAC), a non-profit community organisation that manages the Tjuntjuntjara community on behalf of the Spinifex people and provides a range of local programs and services. * The role
* This is a non-clinical senior leadership role. The Health Services Manager does not provide clinical care or clinical advice and does not manage clinical decision-making.
* Reporting to the PTAC Chief Executive Officer's, the role works as part of a Leadership Triad with the Medical Director and Clinical Services Lead, with clearly defined responsibilities and escalation pathways.
* Key responsibilities
* • Lead non-clinical operations including HR coordination, contracts, housing, infrastructure, assets, vehicles, and procurement
* • Ensure compliance with funding, accreditation, WHS, audit, and safety requirements
* • Prepare operational, risk, program, grant, and financial reports for the CEO and Board
* • Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, and staff logistics
* • Oversee emergency procedures, incident reporting, and risk escalation
* • Support budgeting and financial accountability with the CEO, CFO, and corporate team
* • Chair operational components of Leadership Triad meetings
* • Support culturally safe, respectful, and collaborative workplaces
* Essential Criteria
* • Proven experience in operations management, preferably in health or community services
* • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills
* • Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, reporting, and operational systems
* • Proven ability to manage complex logistics and workforce coordination
* • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
* • Commitment to culturally safe practice and community-led service delivery
* • A current National Police Clearance
* • A current Working with Children Check
* • Current Australian Manual Drivers Licence
* Desirable Criteria
* • Experience working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO)
* • Understanding of Aboriginal culture, governance, and community protocols
* • Experience working in regional or remote settings
* • Qualifications in Health Administration, Business Management, or Project Management
* Total remuneration package of $193, inclusive of superannuation). As a not-for-profit, PTAC offers salary packaging, helping increase take-home pay by reducing taxable income
