The Opportunity: Production Manager
We're seeking an experienced and hands-on Production Manager to lead our manufacturing and warehouse operations at Decor Systems. This role is critical in ensuring production processes run safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards, delivering projects on time and within budget for some of Australia's most iconic commercial spaces.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and control all manufacturing and warehouse operations
Manage day-to-day production activities to maximise safety, efficiency, and quality
Lead, train, and develop the production and warehouse team
Maintain and update production schedules through to job completion
Meet daily KPIs and sustain DIFOT performance
Monitor OHS compliance and escalate issues where required
Review production output and quality standards on the factory floor
Liaise with internal stakeholders and customers regarding job status
Manage procurement of materials and consumables
Negotiate with suppliers on pricing and service
Ensure machinery, tools, and factory assets are maintained in line with TPM systems
Drive continuous improvement through lean manufacturing, 5S, and process optimisation
What You'll Bring
Proven experience in woodcutting, joinery, cabinet making, or similar manufacturing environments Strong working knowledge of CAD systems and CNC programming
Demonstrated leadership experience managing production teams
Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to delegate effectively and manage performance outcomes
A strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Hands-on, proactive approach with a strong factory-floor presence
