Working as a senior member within the marketing team, and reporting to the Marketing Director, this role will be responsible for overseeing the brand creation and performance of selected brands, as well as being responsible for a number of direct reports and indirect reports.
**Role Responsibilities**
- Own and drive the overall marketing for existing online wagering brands (web+app), as well as creating new brands from inception to launch.
- Lead, manage and inspire a team of direct reports, and multiple indirect reports across Performance, Content & Social, Automation, and Creative teams.
- Own and manage budgets, forecasts, actual spends and reporting across relevant platforms.
- Assist the Marketing Director and team managers in hiring and building industry leading teams within the marketing department.
- Analyse user insights, consumer trends and market analysis to develop an informed growth marketing strategy and initiatives to achieve growth and retention targets.
- Drive strong marketing results, with an emphasis performance marketing with a hands-on approach when required.
- Keep up to date and have a strong understanding of the current wagering marketplace, including current sporting/racing events (national/international).
- Frequently review the management of all marketing platforms within each team to ensure efficiency.
- Interpret the data and reporting of to gain insights that can be used to continually adjust and optimise results.
- Analyse and report on performance marketing metrics and present to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal team members on all marketing collateral and website, app and product updates.
**About You**
- 6+ years' experience in marketing, with 3+ years as a Marketing, Brand, Digital or Performance Manager. Client side or Agency.
- Tertiary qualifications in a marketing or business-related field.
- Leadership experience managing direct reports in Digital/Performance Marketing, Content & Social, Automation marketing and Creative teams. Inhouse or agency.
- Strong understanding and exposure of Digital Marketing platforms. Eg Facebook Ads, Google ads, Google Analytics etc.
- Experience managing large performance media/digital budgets with proven results.
- Demonstrated experience buying/negotiating digital & traditional media, both direct and through agencies.
- Extensive experience in managing marketing campaigns, end to end, preferably within a data driven performance context.
- Takes ownership of decisions and actions.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including ability to influence and negotiate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Most importantly you have a passion/understanding of the Australian Racing and Sports industry.
- Wagering or extensive digital marketing experience is desirable.
- Enjoys life and loves a little office fun on a day-to-day basis
