We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex and high-profile construction projects across multiple sectors.
About the Role
This is a mid-senior level, full-time position responsible for overseeing the end-to-end management of multiple construction projects. You will be managing project teams, liaising with stakeholders, and driving the successful delivery of projects from inception to completion.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry best practices. They will also possess excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects across various sectors, ensuring timely completion, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, budget, resources, and risks.
* Manage day-to-day project activities, coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
* Oversee and manage project budgets, ensuring costs are controlled and projects are delivered within financial parameters.
* Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.
* Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and project teams to ensure alignment and progress updates.
* Conduct regular project reviews to monitor performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with expertise across healthcare, commercial, education, civil/mining, remote, or concrete/batching projects.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and industry best practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide project teams.
* In-depth experience in managing large-scale projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
* Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management abilities.
* Solid knowledge of local construction regulations and standards, particularly in Cairns and surrounding regions.
* Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
* Relevant qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
