They are looking for a maintenance officer who will look after their recycling and waste centre assets.
**Your new role**
You will provide a maintenance management program that supports and optimises the operation of Recycling and Waste Centre assets. With this, you will plan and organise waste infrastructure and asset inspections, data capture for new assets and condition auditing to a quality standard.
Additional accountabilities:
- Ensure all relevant and new activities, contractor information, procedures and plans are documented in accordance with site licence conditions and environmental legislation and corporate policy- Assist in the development of works programs aligned to maintenance budgets for maintenance activities.- Assist with specification development for tenders and the preparation of cost estimates for minor works and services.
**What you'll need to succeed**
Ideally, you have a current white card and a C class driver's license. Furthermore, you have knowledge of current and emerging best practice in waste management and waste facility operation, in addition to sound working knowledge of environmental and safety legislation. You have the ability to implement environmental management plans, safety management plans, work procedures, policies and operational guidelines.
Additional qualifications:
- Ability to participate in on-call and out of hours activities where requested.
