Key Responsibilities
* Promote compliance and drive continuous improvement to enhance processes and reduce costs.
* Develop and support team-centered initiatives for process and cost improvement.
* Identify and resolve non-value-added activities through root cause corrective action and process mapping for effective problem-solving.
* Assist project teams in completing works according to contract documentation, standards, and KAEFER operational procedures.
* Maintain monitoring of project progress, safety, environmental, and quality procedures for both clients and KAEFER.
* Manage document control registers aligning with company policies.
* Assist in inspection plans, test plans, and quality plans.
* Record onsite quality requirements.
* Analyze problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Ensure data collection systems are up-to-date and accurately recorded.
* Conduct audits and inspections, reporting deficiencies or trends in the quality system according to relevant Australian Standards.
* Prepare reports on quality matters as required.
* Evaluate equipment calibration, maintaining a register of calibrated equipment.
* Cordinate site inspections with client representatives.
* Ensure all works are prepared correctly prior to client inspections, involving daily process site inspections and addressing Supervisor queries.
* Collaborate with Site Management to resolve discrepancies and ambiguities regarding site conditions against drawings, methods, and project specifications.
About You
* Minimum 3 years' experience as a QA/QC Inspector working on remediation projects in heavy industry or fixed plant maintenance with a strong track record of successful quality assurance.
* NACE 2 ticket (preferred).
* Previous experience working on a Rio Tinto site (preferred).
* Understanding of auditing and Quality Systems (ISO 9001:2008 / AS 4801:2001).
* Experience performing multi-disciplinary inspections, interpreting isometric drawings, investigating non-conformances/discrepancies, and implementing correct actions.
* Able to comprehend technical information and design drawings.
