Job description:

SCHCADS Award: hourly rates ranging from $38.40 to $41.45

Your Role

Join our Bowral Youth Refuge team and make a genuine difference in the lives of young people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in creating a safe, supportive environment while helping young people build independence, resilience, and a pathway forward. You'll work alongside a dedicated team of Case Workers to deliver meaningful, person-centred support.

Your Responsibility
* Support young people through intake and assessment processes
* Create a safe, welcoming and structured environment
* Assist with casework support, including practical assistance and advocacy
* Liaise with external services to ensure holistic client support
* Contribute to daily operations including meals, activities, transport and accommodation tasks
* Maintain accurate case notes and communication records

Profile description:

You Will Need
* Availability to work this rotating roster: Week 1: Thurs 17:00-23:00, Fri 07:00-09:00 & Week 2: Fri 17:00-23:00, Sat 07:00-09:00 & 17:00-23:00, Sun 07:00-09:00
* Relevant Certificate, experience, or current study in a related field
* Strong communication skills with a client-focused approach
* Ability to work independently and within a team
* Calm, confident and able to respond to crisis situations
* Current First Aid Certificate
* Compassionate, non-judgemental and values-driven
* Current Driver Licence
