Job Responsibilities

* Seeking invoice approvals and following up as required
* Assisting with providing financial reports (including profit & loss and balance sheet)
* Liaising with internal staff when required
* Follow up outstanding creditors
* Processing expenses and reconciling credit card statements
* Maintaining accurate document control
* Undertake accounts receivable tasks
* Undertake payroll and associated duties
* Assistance with fixed asset accounting

Additional Responsibilities

* The incumbent must adhere to all current relevant codes of conduct and legislation requirements.
* Performance targets will be negotiated as part of TAG regular performance planning and review processes.
* The incumbent can be expected to be allocated duties not specifically outlined within their position description, however within the capacity, qualifications and experience normally expected from a person occupying this position.

Selection Criteria

* Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principles
* Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
* Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products, in particular Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, with accurate word processing and data entry skills.
* Excellent knowledge of administrative systems and procedures, and proficiency with office technology.
* Highly developed written communications skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Ability to work in a team but also undertake duties independently.

Experience and Qualifications

* Previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience working in a professional environment.
* Experience with appropriate accounting packages and current knowledge of all legislation associated with the preparation and maintenance of organisational financials.
