Glide, a leading manufacturer of powered and manual wheelchairs, is seeking a Production Upholsterer to join our Production team. This hands-on role is responsible for assembling wheelchair fabrics to meet design and quality standards. Come and use your sewing and pattern making skills to make a difference.
Key responsibilities
* Cut and sew fabrics based on standardised templates.
* Assemble seats, backs and cushion covers.
* Use sewing machines and upholstery tools to assemble products with precision
* Ensure quality, safety, and compliance standards are met
* Work efficiently to meet production deadlines and customer requirements
* Assist with other production tasks as required
* Maintain a clean and organized work room
About you
* Minimum 1 year experience in either upholstery, pattern making or sewing
* Confident using industrial sewing machines and hand upholstery tools
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
* Strong attention to detail with excellent measuring and cutting accuracy
* Able to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 10 kg
* Comfortable standing for long periods in a workshop environment
* Good work ethic and ability to stay focused
* Good communication skills and a positive attitude
