ENTRY LEVEL POSITION: Full training provided About us Burdekin Cane Audit Services (BCAS) are currently looking for analyst/auditors to join their team. BCAS are an independent auditing company operating across the 4 Burdekin sugar mills – Invicta, Pioneer, Kalamia and Inkerman. The primary objective is to oversee and audit the Cane Analysis Program (CAP) to ensure accurate quality, quantity and payment of sugar cane between the mills and the Burdekin cane farming community. Qualifications & experience To hold or be willing to hold a Certificate III in Laboratory Skills (full training can be provided). Tasks & responsibilities The cane auditing function specialises in cane weighing, sugar juice collection/analysis and cane fibre collection/analysis. Skills required in this position include a high attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, integrity and the ability to work autonomously once trained. This is a multi-tasking role requiring accurate and timely completion of tasks. Based within a laboratory this position involves a shift work roster. We ask that all applicants be committed to completing the entire crushing season which generally runs from early June through to December - subject to weather conditions and other factors. On the job training is provided for new candidates. Experience or knowledge of science/laboratory tasks will be viewed favorably although is not essential.
