We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to support in delivering robust financial management and strategic insights across our organisation. As the Finance Manager, reporting to the Chief financial officer (CFO) you will play a crucial role in the development and execution of financial strategies, overseeing financial forecasting and budgeting processes, and managing financial reporting. You will ensure the effectiveness of our financial control systems and contribute to strategic decision-making processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to grow professionally and collaborate with senior management and external partners.
About the Role
Your initial responsibilities:
Oversee day-to-day Accounts Payable and Receivable operations, ensuring accurate invoice allocation, timely approvals, and effective coordination with internal stakeholders for period close
Prepare and deliver accurate month-end and year-end financial reports, including Management Reports, Cash Flow Statements, Project P&Ls, and Forecasts.
Provide ongoing financial insights and risk reviews to support project teams, ensuring timely submission, certification, and invoicing of Progress Claims
Lead the preparation of financial budgets and forecasts.
Offer strategic financial analysis to support business planning and decision-making.
Maintain a Reporting Calendar, and assign responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of Reports and presentations
Drive process improvement initiatives, conduct internal reviews, and ensure effective integration and data flow across key systems (Workbench, Upvise, Xero)
Maintain and update the Plant and Equipment register across required systems, including rate reviews
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance compliance and operational efficiency.
Apply strong commercial acumen while collaborating across the business.
Developing and overseeing financial control systems.
Identifying and addressing financial risks while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Maintaining relationships with senior management and external stakeholders.
Ensuring compliance with all legal, regulatory, contract, and grant requirements.
Ensuring record-keeping meets audit and legislative standards
About you
To be considered for this role the successful applicant must have:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
CA or CPA qualification required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in finance within the construction sector
Proven expertise in budgeting, cost management, and financial reporting
Strong analytical abilities and excellent communication skills
Proficient in construction management platforms such as Workbench, Upvise, Procore, as well as the Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI
Skilled in developing and implementing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Demonstrated capacity to manage confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
Adaptable, proactive, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment
