Position
You will be working as the Technician - Primary Plant & Protection Systems, reporting to the HV & Power Supervisor. Your duties include:
* Ensuring conformance with BHP Billiton Charter, Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct, and statutory obligations.
* Executing detailed commissioning and maintenance on complex protection and control systems.
* Executing professional commissioning and maintenance on HV substation primary plant.
* Taking responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and maintenance of all network assets.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
* A WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence.
* A high level of commitment to Safety.
* Proven maintenance and commissioning experience in a Power Utility environment, including Protection Systems, Switchyards, and Primary Plant.
* Experience with High Voltage/Protection Systems in a Mining environment.
* Proficiency with computerised maintenance management systems (SAP).
Location
This role involves fly-in fly-out from Perth to Newman. You will be working on all Eastern Pilbara Mine and Newman Township sites, operating and maintaining the generation, transmission, and distribution electricity network within the Pilbara region.
