About The Opportunity
The focus of this position is to provide administration support to the Regional Growth and Development Directorate in a way that achieves Council's performance objectives and standards of excellent customer.
In this role you will,
* Undertake a range of administration tasks associated with the responsibilities and work of the Regional Growth and Development Directorate, including development assessment, plumbing applications, regulatory services, environmental health and local laws.
* Answer counter and telephone enquiries and provide basic advice in response to customer requests.
* Assist in the preparation of monthly reports.
* Assist in maintaining Council's corporate database systems in an accurate and timely manner.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following key selection criteria:
* Experience working in a high-volume, customer focused office administration environment.
* Demonstrated proficiency and computer literacy, including in the use of Microsoft Office and records management software.
* Demonstrated ability to build relationships with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
* Demonstrated interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with the ability to consult, communicate and solve problems effectively within set guidelines.
* Ability to work independently and in a team in a professional and positive manner
