Job Description:
The role involves managing end-to-end commercial aspects of large subcontracts and self-performed works. This includes planning, procurement, cost forecasting, subcontractor management, claims processing, and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
Key responsibilities include participating in scope of works planning, preparing procurement strategies, providing leadership to other commercial roles, maintaining relationships with subcontractors, assessing commercial and contractual risks, and operating commercial systems.
This is a senior-level position requiring extensive experience in commercial administration, contract management, and site-based experience working as a Contracts Administrator or Quantity Surveyor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Economics, Quantity Surveying, Law, or Commerce
* Postgraduate qualifications in related fields
* Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, and exposure to contract management systems
* Experience in negotiating with subcontractors and interpreting relevant legislation
