Education

Through the Review of Education Regulation (the Review), the Tasmanian Government is modernising the regulatory framework for education in Tasmania to improve educational outcomes for all students and young people. A modern approach to the regulation of education will drive results and improve:

* How students' learning is assessed and recognised
* The quality and safety of learning environments
* The extent to which students are participating and engaged in learning pathways

About The Role
Within this context the incumbent will assist the Board in performing its functions under the Teachers Registration Act 2000. The role will focus on the investigation of complaints and professional conduct concerns which relate to registered teachers, as well as holders of a Limited Authority to Teach or people seeking to obtain teacher registration. The incumbent will undertake a range of duties which will include the promotion of the teaching profession; raising awareness of teacher's roles and obligations; case management of investigations into allegations of professional misconduct; breaches of professional boundaries and contraventions of the Act.

We are looking for
Essential

* Current Tasmanian Registration to Work with Vulnerable People (RWVP) with a registration Status – Employment

Desirable

* A current driver's licence
* Certificate IV in Government Investigations or equivalent
