Responsibilities
* This position forms part of the College's non-teaching team. The Senior IT Support Officer is directly responsible to the Dean of Finance and works closely with the Principal and the College Leadership Team.
* The Senior IT Support Officer provides high-level, on-site ICT support to the College community, ensuring reliable, secure and effective use of digital technologies to support teaching, learning, administration and student wellbeing. The role works in partnership with College Leadership to deliver consistent, best-practice ICT services aligned to St John Bosco standards, policies, and strategic priorities.
Duties
* Provide ICT support to staff and students including troubleshooting and resolving complex issues.
* Support and maintain core software and hardware, including Microsoft 365, learning management & timetable platforms, devices, networks, AV and printing.
* Log and manage incidents and service requests, ensuring appropriate assignment and efficient resolution.
* Maintain asset records and documentation.
* Build strong relationships with College Leadership and staff.
* Provide practical advice on effective technology use.
* Support major school ICT activities and events.
* Communicate technical matters clearly and respectfully.
Shared Accountabilities
* Act as a senior technical escalation point.
* Mentor ICT support staff or technology champions.
* Support staff onboarding and ICT capability development.
* Assist with access management and device compliance.
* Assist with ICT budget preparation.
* Follow CEWA cybersecurity and governance standards.
* Support CEWA and college Digital Technology team lead projects.
* Assist with system rollouts and adoption.
* Identify and recommend service improvements.
* Support effective coordination with contractors and external providers, acting as a key point of contact as required.

Working Conditions
* Administrative and Technical Officers Level 4 Step 6 Category A (48 weeks work) $89,479 annual rate + superannuation.
* Workdays are 8 am to 4 pm.
* Conditions may be negotiated with the Principal depending on individual circumstances.
Selection Criteria
* Prepared to support the Catholic ethos in the performance of duties.
* Previous ICT support experience at a senior level.
* Strong Microsoft 365 suite experience and knowledge.
* Capable and confident communication, both written and verbal skills.
* A current National Police History Check as issued by the Department of Education Western Australia or be willing and able to attain one.
* A current Working With Children Check as issued by the Department of Communities Western Australia or be willing and able to attain one.
* Highly desirable: Experience in a composite (K-12) school setting.
* Familiarity with St John Bosco College digital systems.
* ITIL knowledge and classroom technology experience.
