We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated graduate to undertake a PhD project in cardiovascular disease. The successful applicant will work closely with our multidisciplinary research team to develop and implement electronic Patient Reported Outcomes Measures (ePROM) systems for heart failure patients.
">
About the Project
This project aims to address current gaps in the palliative and supportive care of heart failure patients by enabling a platform for patients to be engaged in their care pathways. We will explore the needs of the heart failure patient and carer cohort, and co-design an ePROM system with them to provide proactive care and improved communication between patients and clinicians.
Key Responsibilities
* To conduct comprehensive literature reviews and identify existing ePROM systems for heart failure patients.
* To develop and test an ePROM system with patients and clinicians to ensure it meets their needs and improves care outcomes.
* To analyze data from the ePROM system to identify areas for improvement and inform future research directions.
Requirements
We are looking for applicants who:
* Have a medical, nursing or allied health background and are interested in pursuing further research in cardiovascular disease, supportive/palliative care or health services implementation.
* Are wanting to pursue a clinical research career and receive comprehensive mixed methods research training.
Benefits
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to:
* Work with a multidisciplinary research team to develop and implement an ePROM system for heart failure patients.
* Contribute to improving the care and support of heart failure patients.
* Develop their skills and knowledge in mixed methods research and ePROM development.
We offer a supportive and collaborative research environment, and opportunities for professional development and growth. If you are passionate about improving the lives of heart failure patients and want to make a meaningful contribution to the field of cardiovascular disease, we encourage you to apply.
