About this Role
This position is ideal for a clinician who wants to make a meaningful impact in their rural community. As part of the Integrated Violence, Abuse and Neglect team at Inverell Community Health Centre, you will be working in a collaborative environment with other professionals to deliver trauma-informed care and support services to individuals, families and communities affected by violence, abuse and neglect.
* Lead the delivery of counselling and support services across Inverell and outreach areas including Glen Innes, Warialda and Tenterfield.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of an integrated service model under the clinical leadership of the VAN Lead.
* Provide services aligned with NSW Health's models of care.
* Offer specialist clinical support to children under the age of criminal responsibility presenting with problematic or harmful sexualised behaviours using advanced clinical reasoning and trauma-informed approaches.
* Take an active role in applying NSW Health's Aboriginal Action Plans to ensure culturally safe and community-centred services.
* Participate in after-hours responses to recent incidents of violence, abuse and neglect at Inverell Hospital.

About You
* You are a compassionate and experienced clinician with expertise supporting clients affected by complex trauma, abuse and neglect.
* You have experience working with children, families and communities in a therapeutic context.
* You have cultural competence and a commitment to culturally safe practice, particularly with Aboriginal communities.
* You possess strong clinical reasoning, assessment and therapeutic intervention skills.
* You are a collaborative and confident professional able to work across sectors and agencies.
* You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are proactive and solutions-focused with the ability to contribute to service development.
* You are willing to supervise students and junior clinicians and participate in interagency forums.
Requirements
* You must hold a qualification in Psychology, Social Work or Counselling which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association/provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
* You have the knowledge, skills and experience to meet the requirements of a Level 3 Allied Health Clinician.
* You hold a current unrestricted NSW Driver's Licence and are able to travel as part of the role within an outreach capacity.
