**About the Opportunity**
As the Sustainability & Risk Manager you will be tasked with creating, innovating and leading our sustainability, operational standards & governance agenda for Pinnacle Drinks owned operations. This includes four bottling locations, six wineries & associated vineyards.
You and your team of specialists will partner with our wineries & bottling sites to deliver against our strategic initiatives as well as supporting our sites success on compliance & continuous improvement.
**A day in the life of a Sustainability & Risk Manager at Pinnacle Drinks**
- Own our Pinnacle sustainability strategy delivery & ensure key priority initiatives are built for success.
- Ownership of our internal & external standards, governance framework and accreditation agenda.
- Ensuring our Pinnacle standards are kept in line with industry benchmarks & delivering on our legal and corporate requirements.
- Expert / SME support - the team supports our wineries & bottling sites on troubleshooting & incidents, including crisis management leadership with stakeholders.
- Reporting & Monitoring - establishes and maintains internal processes & systems that can provide reliable information from our sites & suppliers to meet agreed stakeholder and mandatory reporting obligations.
- Regulatory Compliance - keeps abreast of the changing landscape our Pinnacle businesses are operating in. Ensures that management and our site processes are meeting our requirements & we are maintaining a positive working relationship with compliance agencies & industry groups.
- Work with our Pinnacle leadership team & site management team on an annual plan that ensures our businesses are regularly reviewing their risk profile and building appropriate risk reduction strategies.
- Assist our sourcing, procurement & acquisitions teams with evaluation of new suppliers, vineyards & businesses from an environmental & risk perspective.
- Supports investment & proactive programs to improve environmental performance.
**What you'll need to succeed**
- Strong previous sector experience in Environmental & Sustainability management roles (5 years+)
- Leadership Management & development experience of a small team & external partners (5 years+)
- Degree qualified in Environmental Science or equivalent field
- Experience with management of audit, assurance frameworks & standards
- Strong knowledge of legislative requirements & compliance obligations related to the drinks industry
- Stakeholder Management - Background in partnering with management & manufacturing sites in improving environmental & operational practices.
- Sustainability Strategy development & delivery
- Partnering with corporate sustainability & risk teams on group ESG initiatives
- Exposure to climate change mitigation & business resilience strategies
- Commercial Acumen - experience creating, supporting and executing business cases for opportunities requiring capital investment or additional external resources
