The Senior Coordinator, Critical Minerals provides an exciting opportunity to support the sustainable development of Victoria's critical minerals. We're looking for a collaborative and solutions-focused team-member to contribute to the Resources Victoria Approvals Coordination team.
The Senior Coordinator, Critical Minerals supports the Critical Minerals Coordination Office in Resources Victoria to implement the Victorian Government's Critical Minerals Roadmap. With a focus on Roadmap Theme 2: A modernised regulatory regime, the Senior Coordinator builds relationships with industry and government stakeholders, providing authoritative advice to facilitate the coordination and development of critical minerals projects in Victoria.
Accountabilities
* Actively project manage and coordinate efficient regulatory approvals for priority critical minerals and mining development projects through liaison with industry and government stakeholders to drive meaningful progress and regulatory decisions.
* Provide authoritative advice to senior leaders on matters related to priority mining projects through insightful, evidence-based, solutions-focused, concise and timely documentation that influences decisions, solves identified problems and supports resource project developments.
* Generate and build investment leads and professional relationships in Victoria's critical minerals and mining sector, including with mining operators, industry peak bodies, and State and Federal government agencies that promote investor, decision-maker and community confidence in the industry.
* Build and manage partnerships with industry, local and state government investment, planning, transport and infrastructure agencies and community stakeholders to help drive a mining sector that promotes investor and community confidence.
* Prepare accurate, concise, timely and relevant reports, briefings, correspondence, submissions, possible parliamentary questions, and other documents, within specified timeframes.
* To practice cultural safety by creating environments, relationships and systems free from racism and discrimination so that people can feel safe, valued and able to participate.

Technical Expertise/Qualifications/Experience
* Advanced analytical capabilities with the proven ability to analyse and synthesise scientific and industry data and other relevant information to develop practical solutions, strategies and communications.
* A demonstrated understanding of industry and economic development principles, investment drivers and earth resources supply chains would be advantageous.
* A relevant tertiary qualification in public policy, economics, natural resource management, law, or a related field is desired.
