The Position
This role leads the design, building and implementation of the AlburyCity's Business systems roadmap. The roadmap will depict how the business systems will change and interrelate at the business, information, and technology layer. It maps the changes including impact on the customers across a rolling three‑year timeframe for full scope of the roadmap. As a core part of the roadmap, integration of our systems will be essential, the role will lead a team of technical and non‑technical staff who will oversee the construction and maintenance of AlburyCity's integration platform.
Responsibilities
* Lead & manage a small technical team including performance management, training and development, workflow coordination and developing and maintaining a high level of morale and harmony.
* Through extensive engagement, negotiation, and analysis, create and deliver our Business Systems Roadmap based on Enterprise Architecture principles; seeking to improve alignment of Information Management and business strategies, seek cost efficiencies and enhance data driven decision‑making.
* Actively seek to understand current process rationale and drive innovation.
* Lead and mentor the business systems team including undertaking of technical implementation and support of the current and future integrations.
* Identify new technology solution opportunities for Council and its business units to adopt whilst actively seeking to understand current process rationale.
* Through the roadmap facilitate the prioritisation of business application investment for council to enable council to make informed business decisions. With the support of your team provide technical recommendations and advice to assist in this decision making.
* Perform other tasks or duties as directed by your Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence, and training.

* Based on a 35 hour week, with actual days and times worked in accordance with the IT roster. The IT roster span of ordinary hours is from 7:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity's RDO guidelines.
* This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 35 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed in advance with your supervisor.
* This position does not require you to wear a compulsory uniform, however you must follow the dress code requirements within the AlburyCity's Our People Dress Code Standards. Our People are required to present a smart and professional image to the public at all times including when in public and when working remotely.
* This position involves working both indoor and outdoor, along with computer work. The position requires a moderate level of aerobic and physical fitness to undertake regular physical activities such as walking, lifting, pulling, pushing along with the capacity to maintain normal manual handling tasks across the work day – depending on the nature of the tasks undertaken. Appropriate WHS standards will be applied for all manual handing activity. A full functional and medical assessment is required for this position.
* This position is delegated with certain powers, authorities, duties and functions of Council under the AlburyCity Delegations of Authority in accordance with section 378 of the Local Government Act.
* This position requires evidence of a current Australian National Police Check.
* This position is subject to alcohol and other drug testing.
* This position is located at the AlburyCity Administration Building, 553 Kiewa Street, Albury with occasional visits to external sites/depots as required.
ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:
* Tertiary qualifications or equivalent work experience in Enterprise Architecture, System Design, Information Technology, or related discipline
* Class C (Standard) Driver's Licence compulsory to have and maintain
DESIRABLE CRITERIA:
* Experience in Systems and Business analysis, Business Process Management, or Information Management
EXPERIENCE:
* 3+ years experience managing technical teams
* Conceptual understanding of business process mapping, integration and system design processes
* Experience in developing and supporting technical system integrations.
SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
Thorough understanding and competence in
