Are you a detail-oriented professional with a passion for supporting legal teams? We’re seeking a Legal Support Officer to join a dynamic legal practice group and contribute to the delivery of high-quality administrative services that support complex legal matters across Australia.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll provide a broad range of administrative support services under general direction, using legal business systems and digital litigation tools. You’ll assist with the analysis, management, and presentation of large and complex cases, helping legal teams operate efficiently and effectively.
Duties include:
- Create and manage case files, perform data entry, filing, photocopying, and records management.
- Draft routine correspondence and documents using templates.
- Coordinate witnesses, draft subpoenas/summons, and arrange travel and other court-related logistics.
- Prepare and lodge court materials, conduct basic research, and arrange interpreters, translators, and video conferencing.
- Liaise with prosecutors, courts, counsel, and external agencies.
- Provide advice on systems, processes, and service catalogue to team members and stakeholders.
- Resolve general queries and perform research and analysis using established procedures.
- Manage workload independently to meet deadlines and contribute to a cooperative team culture.
Your Profile
To be succesful in this role you will have:
- Knowledge and experience in delivery of a broad range of support services in a government and/or legal environment.
- Ability to apply judgement and provide advice using established procedures.
- Ability to respond flexibly and positively to change.
- Research and analysis skills, resolving issues based on established procedure.
- Ability to develop positive stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as an effective member of a team.
- Demonstrated level of personal drive, initiative and integrity.
- Sound oral and written communication skills
- Experience in legal or government settings is highly regarded.
AUS citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Baseline Security clearance is mandatory for this opportunity.
