Haynes are seeking a reliable and motivated Service Driver to join a growing team servicing the Newcastle & Hunter Valley region.
This is a hands‐on role operating a pump truck, delivering, servicing and collecting portable toilets on scheduled runs. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for this role to transition into a full‐time position.
What's on Offer
* Location: Working out of the Thornton branch, servicing the Newcastle & Hunter Valley region
* Roster: Monday to Friday
* Hours: 7:00am – 3:00pm (potential for overtime)
* Pay Rate: $42.00 per hour + penalties
* Employment Type: Casual (potential to transition to permanent for the right candidate)
* Immediate Start Available
About the Role
Working autonomously, you will be responsible for:
* Operating a pump/vacuum truck across multiple customer sites
* Delivering, collecting and servicing portable toilets on scheduled routes
* Providing high-quality customer service on-site
* Performing daily pre‐start vehicle and equipment inspections (including Hiab crane if applicable)
* Completing all required paperwork accurately and on time
* Loading/unloading units safely, ensuring compliance with load restraint procedures
* Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance on portable toilets
* Pumping, cleaning and restocking units to a high standard
* Disposing of waste at approved facilities
* Conducting site safety assessments (Take 5s / risk assessments)
* Maintaining vehicle cleanliness and basic upkeep
* Assisting with general yard duties when required
What we're looking for
* Current MR Truck Licence (essential)
* Previous truck driving experience
* High Risk Forklift Licence (LF)
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* A proactive, self‐motivated attitude with attention to detail
* Physically fit and able to pass a Drug & Alcohol screen
Desirable (but not essential)
* Experience in liquid waste management
* Experience operating pump trucks
* Experience using Hiab crane equipment
