We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Developer) to join a high-performing Federal Government Department. The successful Senior Software Engineer will play a key role in supporting a business‐critical enterprise platform used across a large government user base.
The successful Senior Software Engineer will be offered a 4‐month contract with a 3‐month extension option, based in ACT with flexible working arrangements.
Responsibilities
* Migrating legacy SharePoint integration from embedded .NET DLL / SSOM dependencies.
* Analyzing existing .NET application code to identify SharePoint‐dependent components.
* Converting document, metadata, permissions, and authentication functions to modern SharePoint REST / API.
* Producing technical documentation, architectural decisions, and handover artefacts.
Qualifications
* Experience with C# and .NET, including .NET Framework and .NET Core / .NET 6+.
* Experience migrating legacy SharePoint SSOM solutions to REST and Microsoft Graph API‐based implementations.
* Experience refactoring tightly coupled SharePoint code into modern API‐driven services.
* Exposure to Azure DevOps, Git repositories, PowerShell, and unit testing practices.
