The Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated nurse to take on the pivotal role of Associate Nurse Unit Manager. In this position, you'll support the daily coordination of the unit, provide strong clinical leadership, and help drive high‐quality, patient‐centred care. The Team

Launceston General Hospital Outpatient Services provides specialist medical, surgical & paediatric assessment and care. Allied Health Services and testing for some clinics.

The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) at the Launceston General Hospital plays a vital role in the healthcare system, focusing on the efficient and effective provision of care which includes:

* Leadership
* Staff Management
* Clinical Care
* Team Support

Responsibilities

* The ANUM is an experienced nurse who supports the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM and other senior staff to ensure the efficient and effective provision of care based on best practice principles with a collaborative and multidisciplinary framework.
* Supports excellence in clinical practice and promotes the development of nurses, ensuring the philosophy of nursing standard of practice are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care.

Details of appointment

Permanent part time, day worker position, working up to 48 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as we can onboard you. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.

Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.

Salary: $109,767 to $115,813 pro rata per annum. Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

* Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023.

Access to the Grade 4 salary range $102,439- $109,175 is subject to successful application for progression to Grade 4

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

* Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type

You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
