**Description**:
**The opportunity**:
As NGH prepares for an exciting chapter of continued growth and transformation, we are recruiting for a HR Manager to lead the People & Capability (P&C) team. Working closely with the GM Operations and P&C, the role will help to drive and implement NGH's People Strategy by partnering with senior leaders and their departments.

With a commercial perspective, the HR Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the P&C department, including but not limited to, coaching and mentoring, employee relations, change processes, benefits administration, recruitment and learning and development. The P&C Manager will work closely with the GM of P&C to develop and implement human resources policies and procedures that align with the company's objectives.

The role will also have line management responsibility for a small team and be responsible for ensuring the operational needs of the business are handled effectively and efficiently.

**Any day may see you**:

- Provide leadership to all members of the P&C team.
- Actively promote cultural change and support new ways of working and continuous improvement.
- Provide professional senior level, operational P&C advice on the interpretation of P&C policies and procedures, employment legislation, recruitment strategies, and managing change processes, providing risk analysis to support this.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees.
- Contribute to policy development and implementation of new policies, practices, and programs to meet organisational and management needs.
- Undertake data analysis and deliver data-driven insights to inform effective workforce planning to identify the capacity and capability of the organisation to deliver its objectives.
- Analyse trends and metrics in partnership with the P&C group to assist in the development of programs and policies.
- Manage employee relations issues, including investigations, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
- Assisting management in achieving harmonious working relations with all staff.

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Experienced leader and Senior Human Resources generalist with operational responsibility.
- Ability to translate strategy into operational plans.
- Significant experience in industrial relations with a sound knowledge of industrial and employee relations theory, principles, policies, and practices.
- Able to develop highly effective working relationships.
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and persuasion skills.
- Skilled and credible in advising others on empowering people management.
- Proven ability to secure and analyse a range of quantitative and qualitative information and use this in developing strategies, plans, policies, and solutions that meet individual and organisational needs.
- Strong external network to continue to foster personal development and knowledge.
