Coordinator Rates Job Description
We are seeking a motivated individual to coordinate the Rates Team and achieve delivery of revenue and rating services in accordance with legislation and policies.
Key Responsibilities
The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, a keen attention to detail, an understanding of accounting principles and the ability to problem solve complex issues. They will provide leadership to the rates team, foster a supportive environment, identify operational efficiencies and ensure high levels of customer service delivery.
Requirements
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in accounting or business administration, or other relevant field with several years' experience, or lesser formal qualification with extensive relevant experience, preferably at a senior level
* Professional certification such as CPA or CA ANZ, or working towards, is desirable
* Experience in local government at a leadership level is desirable
* Experience with council rates administration and property title information is desirable
* Demonstrated experience with office software, financial systems and database applications
