About the role
CPR Group are seeking experienced Plant Mechanics and Auto Electricians to join our team in The Hunter Valley and surround's, NSW. These are a full-time positions supporting long term contracts with our mining, civil, and resources clients with the maintenance and repair of heavy plant and equipment. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our clients' operations run smoothly and efficiently.
What you'll be doing
* Conducting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a range of heavy plant and equipment, including excavators, dozers, graders, trucks and more
* Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
* Performing overhauls and rebuilds of major components
* Documenting work completed and maintaining detailed records
* Ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards
What we're looking for
* Trade qualification with certificate of proficiency
* Experience as a Plant Mechanic or Auto Electrician, preferably in a mining or resources environment
* Driver's License
* Current (within 12 months) or ability to obtain an Order 45 Medical
* Demonstrated expertise in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of heavy plant and equipment
* Strong electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
* Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
* Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
* Effective communication and teamwork skills
Highly Desired Criteria
* In depth knowledge of Caterpillar SIS and ET
* Hunter Valley mine site inductions
* Caterpillar, Liebherr, Hitachi and Komatsu experience highly regarded
