Role purpose
Our op shops provide much needed funds to support RSPCA Victoria achieve our vision of ending cruelty to all animals.
The role is to help sell a wide range of new and pre‑loved items. This involves serving customers, assisting with stock rotation, sorting and pricing donated goods and keeping the op shop tidy and presentable.
This role requires the ability to perform a wide range of tasks as required depending on the op shop activity on the day. Flexibility and the willingness to contribute to the team's efforts are important.
Duties include
- Serving and assisting customers
- Receiving, sorting and pricing donated goods
- Displaying and rotating goods for sale in the store
- Performing cash and EFTPOS sales
- Ensuring the store is clean, tidy, and well presented
No two days are the same!
What we need
- To be at least 18 years of age
- Great customer service skills
- The ability to work in a team
- Basic mathematical skills
- Effective communication skills
- Manual handling ability (up to 10 kg)
- A great sense of humour!
