Technical Specialist - Electrical Asset Management
The role of Technical Specialist - Electrical Asset Management involves providing specialized technical expertise in advanced electrical trade work within the traffic signals section. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting contemporary asset management within the Tasmanian traffic control system to enable safe and efficient operation.
Key Responsibilities
* Apply specialized expertise to deliver electrical asset inspections and works, including installation, testing, and maintenance of traffic signal infrastructure, ITS assets, and related equipment.
* Identify traffic signal equipment malfunctions, complex operational or technical problems, and traffic flow or congestion issues; ensure faults are rectified within KPI parameters.
* Acquire knowledge of specialized management software (SCATS, STREAMS, CCTV, etc.) to monitor road network conditions and traffic signal assets.
* Use and update the Traffic Signals Maintenance fault and defect management system (Reflect) to respond to and rectify reported signal and other asset issues.
* Serve as subject-matter expert, advising works coordinators, project managers, and other stakeholders for complex activities during design, planning, and delivery of programmed works.
* Plan, document, and coordinate structured works for complex traffic signal projects, including managing various contractors.
* Undertake specialized training to maintain current knowledge of signals and ITS assets.

o Open Cabler Accreditation and Fibre Endorsement.
