We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to lead the transition of ICT services from an internal arrangement to a shared services model.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record in delivering IT projects within the Australian Public Sector and be comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders and managing IT staff.
Main Responsibilities:
* IT Strategy Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy aligned with the agency's business objectives.
* Service Transition: Oversee and manage the transition of IT services to DPS, ensuring continuity of services, value for money, and delivery of a fit-for-purpose solution.
* Expert Advice: Provide expert advice to stakeholders on IT transition and strategy.
* Collaboration: Collaborate with business leaders to capture technology requirements and ensure alignment with the transition work.
* Relationship Building: Build and maintain strong working relationships between OOSGG and DPS, including negotiation and management of contracts and agreements.
* Communication: Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, providing guidance on IT matters.
* IT Security: Ensure the security, reliability, and integrity of the agency's IT systems and data, implementing strategies to mitigate risks and protect sensitive information.
* Team Management: Manage the daily operations of the IT team, including staff management, budget oversight, and resource allocation.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a results-driven IT Project Manager with a strong track record in government IT delivery, particularly in transitions to shared services. They will possess excellent leadership, technical understanding, and communication skills.
