As a Transport Solutions Specialist at Linfox, you'll play a central role in developing smart, safe, and scalable transport solutions that support our national operations. Your focus will be on using data-driven analysis, network modelling, and fleet expertise to design transport strategies that are both commercially sound and compliant with heavy vehicle regulations.
Reporting to the Transport Solutions Manager, you'll support business development projects, RFP responses, and network improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role where your ideas and insights can lead to real, measurable improvements across our fleet and customer contracts.
This role is open to candidates located in Essendon, Laverton (VIC), or Oakdale (NSW).
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to :
* Analyse transport data to uncover cost-saving and efficiency opportunities.
* Design and evaluate transport solutions using network modelling tools.
* Apply deep knowledge of fleet capability, NHVL, and CoR requirements to ensure all solutions are safe and compliant.
* Collaborate with teams across commercial, operations, fleet, and safety to deliver solutions that are practical and executable.
* Support project delivery by preparing cost models, process maps, and performance simulations.
* Present your findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
* Monitor implemented solutions and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate :
* Experience working in transport planning, logistics engineering, or solution design.
* Strong understanding of Australian transport networks, fleet types, and road regulations (e.g., NHVL, PBS, CoR).
* Proficiency with data analysis and transport modelling tools.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
* Confidence presenting technical ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
* Strong time management with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office and transport modelling tools (e.g., Route Optimisation or Simulation software).
* A tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business, Logistics, or related field (preferred but not essential).
* Analytical Thinking : Able to extract insights from data and apply them to real-world scenarios.
* Project Focus : Manages competing deadlines with a structured and solution-oriented approach.
* Communication : Translates technical language into clear, business-friendly insights.
