Salary : $75,000 - $85,000 a year
Larnec is a family-owned, Australian company specialising in manufacturing of high quality pre-hung door solutions and related engineering projects, with a keen focus on quality. Larnec is the largest manufacturer and supplier of pre-hung door solutions in the industry, supplier to some of the most respected companies across the shed and garage, industrial, commercial, transportable building and shipping container modification industries. They are located in Tullamarine and Swan Hill, Vic.
Larnec currently has opportunities within their Team in the role of Engineering Technologist.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Understanding technical drawings, logical flow diagrams and implementing engineering principles to design and develop.
- Analyse existing technology and complex data and make recommendations for improvements.
- Support process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce waste and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Provide technical support to production teams, including training on equipment and process changes.
- Assist in the design, development and optimisation of manufacturing processes, tools and fixtures.
- Assist in implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance to resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with company, industry and regulatory standards.
- Preparing documentation for system design and process development.
Qualification and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications.
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Ability to use computer-aided design software is of an advantage.
- Ability to work with team and with minimum supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
