Black Mount Spring Water is the leading supplier of bulk spring water and transport to the bottled water industry throughout Australia. To support the ongoing growth of our QLD business, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic person to join us as Black Mount's State Operations Manager - QLD.
You will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the operations of our business across South-East QLD. This senior role requires a strategic thinker with strong operational expertise and excellent management skills. You will play a pivotal role in driving efficiency, improving processes, and leading a high-performing team of drivers to achieve our business objectives.
Black Mount has a modern and well-serviced fleet of 15 truck (Kenworth/DAF) and tanker (Single/BD/AD) combinations located at Wulkuraka and Stapylton. Our State Operations Manager will work closely with our service providers to ensure that our vehicles remain safe, efficient and compliant.
We have an excellent team of experienced and professional tanker drivers, who play a major part in our business's success. The ongoing management, training and strong leadership of our drivers is critical to this role.
Black Mount owns and manages several water source properties throughout the region. We expect that the successful applicant will work closely with our Quality and Projects team to ensure the smooth operation of each source and its equipment.
An absolute focus on providing excellent and reliable service to our customers is a must. Our tankers operate 24/7 and you will have the benefit of our National Operations Support manager for weekend and leave support.

* Ensure that all equipment is kept and maintained to a high standard
* Build and maintain positive relationships with customers and source owners
* Continuously look for opportunities for improvement throughout the business

* Proven experience in a operations management role within the transport and logistics industry.
* Strong leadership and team management skills.
* Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
* In-depth knowledge of operational best practices and industry standards.
* Ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.
* Solid MS Office knowledge, experience with Freight 2020 & Truck telematics an advantage.
