About The Role

The Brand and Sponsorship Manager plays a key role in driving category growth by developing and delivering impactful marketing strategies that resonate with consumers. With a strong understanding of consumer mindsets, they lead inclusive communications and advertising campaigns, underpinned by customer insights, to build positive brand associations at every touchpoint.

This role will also lead the management and activation of AMES' sponsorship portfolio, including television and sports partnerships, ensuring they align with brand strategy and deliver measurable value.

Reporting to the Head of Creative, this generalist role manages a portfolio of two well‐known household brands and offers significant opportunity for growth.

Responsibilities

* Working with marketing and cross‐functional teams to develop and execute marketing strategies across the relevant brands for AMES that deliver the company's vision and strategy
* Establishing a deep understanding of the market for the relevant brands and categories
* Developing and implementing marketing strategies and tactical plans to meet category and company targets
* Managing and activating TV and sports sponsorships, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and maximising brand exposure and ROI
* Collaborating with media, sporting organisations and agency partners to plan and execute sponsorship initiatives and integrated campaigns
* Monitoring and reporting on results for implemented strategies and sponsorship performance
* Developing professional relationships with all customers, external partners and internal stakeholders
* Keeping up to date with the latest AMES product news and increasing knowledge internally
* Being an active team member, performing duties optimally and ensuring the company delivers the highest level of customer service while aligning with AMES values and policies

Skills & Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing (or equivalent recognised in Australia)
* Previous experience in the marketing space (4+ years)
* Demonstrated experience in a marketing role commensurate with the seniority of the position and the size and complexity of the brand portfolio to be managed
* Experience managing brand partnerships or sponsorships (TV, sport or media) is highly desirable
* Strong commercial acumen and market awareness
* Experience with marketing analytics and consumer insights
* Experience leading cross‐functional projects
* Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
* Ability to collaborate effectively across functional (internal/external) teams and at all levels of an organisation
* Good influencing and negotiation skills
* Sound decision maker, particularly around customer insights
* Collaborative team player
