We are seeking an experienced Project Manager (min. 3-5 years experience) to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of a coal mine rehabilitation project. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing rehabilitation projects while ensuring they meet company standards, goals, and deadlines. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mining engineering, project management, and a demonstrated ability to lead a team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Planning & Delivery – Manage and lead implementation of project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet rehabilitation milestones.
* Regulatory Compliance – Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to safety standards, project specifications and mining regulations.
* Stakeholder Engagement – Coordinate and manage the project team and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver the project according to plan, as well as establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
* Australian work rights are required for this position.
* Risk & Safety Management – Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks while maintaining a strong safety culture.
* Technical Oversight – Coordinate earthworks, revegetation, and monitoring programs.
* Reporting – Provide regular progress updates, accurate & timely reporting of project status, and performance reports to senior management throughout the project life cycle.
Qualifications & Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in mining engineering, Project Management, or related field.
* Project management certification is required.
* Proven experience managing mining or rehabilitation projects.
* Experience managing projects valued between $5M-$20M is required.
* Strong knowledge of legislation, and rehabilitation techniques.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
* Proficiency in project management software and reporting tools.
* Strong understanding of the mining industry, including operational, project management and contractual agreements.
