JUNIOR WILLS & ESTATES LAWYER (1-2 Years PAE)
Beaumaris Lawyers & Conveyancers is seeking a Junior Lawyer with 6 months to 2 years PAE to join our friendly team in Beaumaris, Victoria. This is a full-time role where you will have the opportunity to work closely with the Principal and contribute to the growth of our thriving legal practice.
Key responsibilities
- provide legal advice and support to clients across a range of practice areas including Wills and Estates, Part IV matters, Retail Leases and commercial law
- a minimum of 6 months experience in Wills & Estates, or you having studied those areas at University, is required together with a willingness to learn a variety of areas of law
- participate in and, after initial training, conduct client meetings and negotiations
- manage a caseload of matters end-to-end with the supervision and support of the Principal and experienced law clerks
- develop and maintain strong client relationships
- develop, foster and maintain strong relationships with Accountants, Financial Advisers and other referrers to the practice
- willingness to work hard and progress
What we're looking for
- 6 months to 2 years of post-admission experience in Wills & Estates
- admission to practice in Victoria is essential
- enthusiasm and determination to succeed
- strong written and verbal communication skills
- ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
- attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services in a qualified, sympathetic and timely manner
