Practice Manager

Kare Radiology is seeking an experienced Full-Time Practice Manager to join our dynamic and patient-focused team. We are an independent clinic committed to delivering high-quality, affordable diagnostic imaging services to the local community.
About the Role:
You will be the first point of contact for our patients and referring practitioners, ensuring a welcoming and professional experience. This is a fast-paced role requiring strong attention to detail, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Greeting and assisting patients in person and by phone
* Scheduling appointments across multiple modalities (CT, Ultrasound, X-ray, BMD)
* Processing Medicare and private billing claims — experience with Medicare item numbers and billing codes is essential
* Handling EFTPOS and cash payments
* Managing incoming referrals and ensuring accurate patient records
* Liaising with referring doctors and specialists
* General administrative and reception duties
Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience as a receptionist in a medical imaging, radiology, or specialist medical practice is essential
* Strong understanding of Medicare billing, item numbers, and processing workflows
* Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Proficiency with practice management software (experience with radiology-specific RIS/PACS systems an advantage)
* Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a close-knit team
