Aboriginal Domestic Family Violence and Sexual Assault Counsellor Position
We are seeking a qualified counsellor to join our team of professionals providing assessments, crisis and ongoing counselling to adults who have experienced domestic violence, and children and adults who have experienced sexual assault.
This is a position identified for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification under section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
About This Opportunity
The role involves providing cultural supervision, education and support to clients experiencing domestic family violence and sexual assault.
* We Are Looking For A Person Who Has:
* a degree in social work, with a minimum of three years, or psychology and full registration with AHPRA
* experience working with adults, young people and children with complex trauma
* demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the key health issues that impact Aboriginal people and communities
In this role, you will work closely with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.
