Rail Operator is seeking a Project Engineer with signalling experience review design development & procedures.

Are you an experienced Signalling Project Engineer looking to contribute to major rail infrastructure upgrades across Victoria? We're seeking two skilled professionals to join a dynamic team delivering critical signalling projects as part of a broader rail overhaul program. This is an initial 6-month contract with the view to extend further.
Your new role
As a Project Engineer - Signalling, you will be responsible for the following:
* Review design development and procedures to facilitate the Rail Portfolio
* Participate in cable and signal replacement works, including level crossing upgrades
* Lead and support signalling projects across design and/or delivery phases
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project scope is fit-for-purpose
* Manage reporting, documentation, and proactive communication to ensure timely delivery
* Provide technical and engineering expertise for the investigation and analysis of identified engineering system issues
* Participate in the development and maintenance of rail infrastructure maintenance and construction standards, technical maintenance plans, service schedules, inspections, and test plans
* Travel to regional sites (1-2 times per week)
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll be a qualified Engineer with a strong background in rail signalling. You'll bring:
* Extensive experience in signalling engineering within the rail sector
* Solid knowledge of signalling systems and infrastructure
* Proven capability in design and/or delivery of signalling projects
* A valid RIW card (or eligibility to obtain one)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving project scopes
