Seeking an experienced and dynamic Guest Services Manager to lead the events and reservations function at one of Melbourne's leading premium dining destinations.

Responsibilities

As Guest Services Manager, you'll lead the Events and Reservations team to ensure smooth, efficient and professional coordination of all bookings, enquiries and private events. You'll be the key point of contact for guests - delivering warm, attentive communication and ensuring each interaction reflects the restaurant's commitment to exceptional service and care.

You'll work closely with the restaurant leadership, culinary and sommelier teams to deliver memorable, seamless experiences for every guest while driving performance and revenue across all guest touchpoints.

What You'll Do

* Lead, mentor and motivate the Events and Reservations team to deliver premium service and exceptional guest experiences
* Oversee all reservations, event bookings and guest communications to ensure accuracy and efficiency
* Develop and execute reservation and event sales strategies to maximise revenue and achieve financial targets
* Manage event enquiries, proposals and logistics, ensuring flawless execution and collaboration across teams
* Build strong relationships with VIP guests and key clients, anticipating and exceeding expectations
* Work closely with operations to ensure smooth service flow and a consistently high guest experience
* Handle guest feedback with professionalism and empathy, turning challenges into opportunities
* Support recruitment, training and professional development within the Events and Reservations team, fostering a culture of excellence and care
* Maintain database accuracy and provide regular reporting on key trends and opportunities

Your Profile

What You'll Bring

* Genuine demonstrated passion for food, wine, culture and the Melbourne hospitality industry
* Proven experience managing events sales and coordination, reservations and guest relations, or front-of-house operations within a premium dining environment
* Strong sales focus with the ability to drive revenue through all available streams
* Financial literacy, including the ability to analyse business activity and identify opportunities for growth
* In-depth understanding of reservation strategy and the key influences on trade
* Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport
* Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
* Composed and professional under pressure, with a hands-on leadership style
* Experience with reservation and event management systems (SevenRooms, Resy, Tripleseat or similar) is highly regarded
