Ardmore phosphate operation
in western Queensland. This is a unique opportunity to be part of the
restart of mining and production
and contribute to a high-performing operation from the ground up. Reporting to the Mining and Technical Services Manager, you will manage safe and efficient achievement of planned production. Key Responsibilities:
Manage the mining activities in a small open-cut selective mining operation. Ensure compliance with the Safety and Health Management System by monitoring production areas, conducting inspections, and implementing critical controls to effectively manage risks. Monitor production costs and implement cost-reduction measures. Prepare daily and monthly production reports. Work closely with the Mine Planning Engineer to implement and maintain mine plans. Coach and develop Mining Supervisors, supporting their leadership of operational teams. Recommend improvements to safety and production practices to enhance business performance. Skills & Experience:
Significant experience leading mining operations in an open cut production environment. Professional qualifications in mining processes such as Diploma of Surface Operations or Mining Engineering degree. Queensland Mining ‘Supervisor’ Competencies. A leader in developing a positive safety culture. Mine planning and contractor management experience. What We’re Looking For:
